When designing this seaside abode, we focused on highlighting the beauty and breeze of the Los Angeles South Bay. Still in development, this home in Redondo Beach is a ground-up collaboration with the clients, and a balance of budget, lifestyle, and the city planning department. We set out to craft a home with an intention to spotlight the view of all views–staring out across the Pacific Ocean at golden hour from a deck overlooking the beach. We’ve crafted a material palette that captures the sandy texture, reflected light, and salty ocean breeze that embody the residence's littoral location. A distinct take on indoor-outdoor living, rotating floor planes and a dynamic facade echo the movement of the ocean itself and maximize the available livable space. An elegant, angular massing spanning three floors, this home will leave an expansive and evocative footprint on the Redondo Beach shoreline.
